Prepare to explore employment opportunities in home support, continuing care, assisted living settings, complex care and more with our hybrid Health Care Assistant diploma program. You will gain the key skills and knowledge required to deliver exceptional care that addresses each client’s unique needs.
You will learn about common health challenges, including cognitive and/or mental health concerns, and develop your communication skills to interact effectively with patients and other members of a multi-disciplinary healthcare team. You will be prepared to take vital signs, document health information, observe and report changes in a patient’s symptoms or behaviour and assist with daily tasks involving mobility, feeding, medication and more.
Two field placements put your skills into practice, providing real-time care, emotional support and physical assistance to clients who are recovering from surgery, injury or illness. Kick-start a new career in just 32 weeks!
